Emma Woods
Emma is from Bournemouth and studied at the Northern Ballet School in Manchester before embarking on a career spanning almost 20 years as a dancer. Emma’s work as a dancer led her to become a choreographer and movement director. She has worked in most genres including opera and theatre, most recently in Germany at Potsdam Winter Opera for Acis andGalatea/Blond Eckbert double bill.
Recent engagements: Collaborations with Adele Thomas include Semele (Glyndebourne), Il trovatore (ROH) and In the Realms of Sorrow (London Handel Festival at StoneNest). Previous movement work includes Fascinating Aïda (UK Tour); Vinegar Tom (Mack Theatre); Bajazet (INO and ROH); Kipps (Mack Theatre); Apollo e Daphne,4/4 (ROH); Così fan tutte (Nevill Holt Opera and NI Opera, Belfast); UK Associate Choreographer The King and I (London Palladium, UK Tour and Theatre Orb, Japan); Berenice (ROH) and Eyam (Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre).
