Programmes and Engagement 

Trust support helps WNO to deliver impactful projects to communities across Wales and England.

Projects that need trust support include: 

  • Cradle, our intergenerational creative arts programme for people living with Dementia in West Wales
  • Music making workshops with refugee women and their children in Birmingham
  • Schools Concerts which introduce thousands of young people to opera, the development of an interactive operatic concert experience for young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties  
  • Wellness with WNO, our singing and breathing programme to support people with Long COVID in Wales

Talent Development

Nurturing the next generation, who are the future of our art form, is a key priority for WNO and Trust support is vital to the delivery of our comprehensive Talent Development Programme, including;

  • Weekly music workshops in schools
  • Youth Opera groups in North and South Wales
  • Associate Artist scheme
  • Orchestral talent development opportunities
  • Technical placements and work experience opportunities

Productions 

Creating new and updated productions is fundamental to ensuring that a diverse range of experiences and voices are reflected on our stages and in our audiences. Trust support enables us to create and tour this work to audiences across Wales and England.
