Rhys Meilyr

Rhys Meilyr, 23, from Anglesey, North Wales, studied for his undergraduate degree at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff. He is currently studying his Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music in London, with the Academy’s Professor of Voice, Susan Waters. In 2019, Rhys made his Welsh National Opera debut singing Younger Brother in Dead Man Walking (Jake Heggie) conducted by Karen Kamensek. Earlier in 2022, Rhys was a chorus member in Longborough Festival Opera’s production of Carmen directed by Mathilde López and conducted by Jeremy Silver.
