Yr wythnos ddiwethaf, cynhaliodd Canolfan Mileniwm Cymru noson agoriadol cynhyrchiad newydd Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru o Candide. Daeth opereta wyllt Bernstein, a ysbrydolwyd gan nofel ddychanol Voltaire, yn sylfaen noson wefreiddiol o ganu a chwarae rhyfeddol, animeiddiadau i’ch synnu a stori annisgwyl a’n harweiniodd ni i bob cwr o’r byd yn ystod y noson. Dyma beth oedd gan gynulleidfa Caerdydd i’w ddweud am y cynhyrchiad newydd.

Cafwyd llu o sylwadau hyfryd ar Facebook yn llawn canmoliaeth:
Suzanne Murphy – Fantastic performance… wonderful conducting from Karen Kamensek and brilliant singing of Claudia Boyle. An amazing production and well worth a visit to WNO.
Kevin Jones – That was fantastic. The animations were excellent and added another dimension.
Pat Davies – It was absolutely brilliant – the music, the performances, the animations and that stupid, stupid story. Knocked it out of the park WNO
Ann Whittaker - I can honestly say I have never seen anything like it!
It was outrageous, spectacular, innovative and brilliantly sung and acted by the cast. The orchestra were magnificent and I will certainly be buying tickets to go again. Nothing could be better as a first experience of opera.
Gordon Collins – Congratulations! A wonderful evening so fresh and very clever. Really enjoyed it.
Mae Candide yn mynd ar daith yr haf hwn i Truro, Llandudno, Rhydychen, Birmingham ac Aberhonddu hyd at ddydd Sadwrn 15 Gorffennaf. Manteisiwch ar y cyfle i weld opereta Bernstein mewn cynhyrchiad nad yw WNO erioed wedi llwyfannu ei debyg o'r blaen.
